Arvalee School and Resource Centre is part of the Omagh and surrounding area community. Over the years we have built up many close links in the community and with local schools to enhance educational provision, to promote inclusion and to enrich the education of all the children and young people in the Omagh district.

Our main focus is to support children and young people with learning difficulties to overcome the challenges they face in order to grow, learn and achieve so that they can be the best that they can be. We do this by striving to put children first in what we talk about, what we do and provide in school and keeping the children central when we plans for the future.

OUR MISSION IS TO GIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO SHINE

We believe:

  • In challenging each child and young person who has learning difficulties to be the best that they can be
  • In providing a rich and varied curriculum adapted to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and educational needs of each child and one that prepares each pupil for the challenges of life in their local community
  • In providing an enriched, happy and caring environment that is safe, accessible and secure for our pupils
  • In empowering parents to be partners in the education of their children, to support them and involve them in the life of the school
  • In building and promoting an inclusive community where children and young people can succeed, be valued and enjoy life

To put these beliefs into action we work as part of the

  • Shared Education Campus Omagh, seeking to support all the children of Omagh to share resources and teaching skills for schools across a campus
  • Omagh Learning Community, seeking to enhance the individualised provision of qualifications for young people with learning difficulties
  • Omagh Schools provision (Primary and Post Primary) to support inclusion and curriculum access for all children with learning difficulties

We believe that we need to keep developing, we need to grow and challenge how we do things to continue to enhance the education of our pupils. If you want to find out more please contact us.
