Please be aware that the the Education Authority have informed the school that Teachers Trade Unions within the school will be taking a half day of industrial strike action on Wednesday 29th November.
Arrangements for the Day of Teacher Strike Action.
Due to this action the school will be closed for pupils on the morning of Wednesday 29th November until 12 (noon).
Classes will resume from noon until the end of the school day as normal.
EA have informed schools that there will be no school transport service for noon. Students who are unable to attend from noon, due the unavailability of school transport, can provide a note to this effect, and will then not be marked absent.
School Meals will be available for pupils as normal.
The school cannot alter staff working patterns on that day so I would remind parents and carers of pupils up to Yr2 that the end of the school day will remain the same.
Transport home: For the safety of the children, and ensuring that each child is returned home safely, I would ask that all parents leaving their child into school, confirm with the bus driver that you require transport, and confirm the arrangements with the school .
