Orla and Calvin took part in the Dairy Council Young Cook of the Year 2017 finals in Ballyclare Secondary School on Tuesday 25th April 2017.
They completed an entry from where they selected two dishes that showcased local Northern Ireland produce and which included dairy products. They both got a prize as a winner of the Western Region and got to cook their main dishes for a panel of judges.
Orla made an Ulster Fry Frittata which she served with potato wedges and a side salad.
Calvin made Macaroni Cheese which he served with a portion of broccoli.
At the final both students cooked really well and we are all very proud of them and their achievements.
