New School Year 2021-22
The new school years starts for pupils on Wednesday 1st September, unless there has been different arrangements made on an individual pupil basis (for example Nursery Induction).
This year the school is trying to move forward to open up the curriculum so the pupil home time will be from 2.45pm onwards. The system will take time to put in place so be patient with the staff as the school is unaware how many buses there are or how many taxi's will be coming to the school. This step is necessary to ensure that pupils have access to their guided learning hours for all areas of the curriculum.
The School will continue to operate our morning entrance system, were pupils wait until staff indicate that they can enter and sanitise their hands as they enter. Doors will not open until 8.45am and the pupils entrance will close around 9.30am, unless there is an arrangement for an individual child. The school wishes to ensure that all teaching and learning can commence at or prior to 9.10am for as many pupils as possible.
Throughout this period the school will evaluate the Risk Assessment and update you to any changes that are to be put in place in line with PHA guidance. To allow this to happen the pupils will remain in their Bubbles for at least one week and allow staff time to evaluate the working practices before moving forward. This period will be used to update pupil learning assessments.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.
